LIGHTING PROTECTION SYSTEM (LPS)
The LPS is a combination of components designed to safely intercept a lighting strike and conduct its electrical current to the ground, preventing damage to structures, electrical system, protects building and structure from fires, structural damage, and others destruction caused by lightning strikes.
Protection electrical system:
Shields valuable electrical and electronic equipment from damage by diverting lightning energy way from them system.
Air Terminal System:
Including components like lightning rods that are placed at high points to attract strikes and provide a designated point of impact.
Earth termination system:
A system of grounding electrodes (ground rods) that safely directs the electrical current from the down conductors into the earth.
Down conductor system:
A network of conductors that safely carries the lightning current from the air terminal down to the grounding system.
